Adventist Rehabilitation Hospital of Maryland Opens Neuro Rehab and Balance Center
October is National Physical Therapy Month! Physical therapists are an important part of the comprehensive team of rehabilitation experts at Adventist Rehabilitation Hospital of Maryland, which recently held a ribbon cutting ceremony for its new Neuro Rehab and Balance Center.
The new center offers innovative inpatient and outpatient care for individuals experiencing problems with gait stability, balance, memory and cognition as a result of a stroke or brain injury, and from neurological conditions such as multiple sclerosis, ALS/Lou Gehrig’s disease, Guillain-Barré syndrome, Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease and others.
Adventist Rehabilitation Hospital of Maryland is the only hospital in a five-state region to hold accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) International in all four specialty areas – spinal cord injury, brain injury, amputation and stroke.
