Maternity Orientation & Tour If you are expecting a baby or planning for the future, come to a short presentation on our maternity services, and tour our labor and delivery suite and the mother/baby unit at Washington Adventist Hospital on Sunday, Sept. 8 from 12:00 to 1:30pm.
Pre Diabetes Class Learn about food and nutrition, exercise, stress, and other important information for preventing diabetes. This program is a two-part class where you’ll develop a greater understanding of how lifestyle factors affect disease progression and the changes you can make to prevent diabetes. Class are offered Thursday mornings.
Adventist HealthCare Walking Club Adventist HealthCare and Westfield Montgomery Mall have teamed up to promote healthy and active lifestyles in our community via our Adventist HealthCare Walking Club. Join us for a walk this Tuesday, Sept. 3 in the Westfield Montgomery Mall food court from 8:00 am to 9:30 am.

Takoma Park Folk Festival Washington Adventist Hospital will be offering free health information and screenings including grip strength and blood pressure at this year’s Takoma Park Folk Festival on Sept. 8 from 10:30 a.m-6:30 p.m. at the Takoma Park Middle School located at 7611 Piney Branch Rd.

Live Online Chat Join Dr. Hassan Bokhari, Adventist Behavioral Health’s psychiatrist and substance abuse treatment expert, for an online chat about teens and substance abuse from 12:00-1:00pm on Wednesday, September 25. Dr. Bokhari can answer your questions about the most commonly abused drugs among teens, symptoms of addiction, how to know if your child needs help and where to get help.
Takoma Park Community Health Fair Stop by the Takoma Park community center health fair on Sept. 18 from 4-6 p.m. located at 7500 Maple Ave., for free information on heart disease, stroke, mental health and diabetes, along with free health screenings including bone density, grip strength and blood pressure testing, provided by Washington Adventist Hospital.
Burtonsville Day Washington Adventist Hospital will be offering free health information and screenings at this year’s Burtonsville Day on Sat. Sept. 28 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Marilyn J. Praisner Community Center located at 14906 Old Columbia Pike, Burtonsville. We hope to see you there!
